7.1 Privacy Policy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
7.2 Data Collection

7.3 Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, search history, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
7.4 Device Permissions
The Service requires the following device permissions to function:
- Camera — Required for self-tape recording and live preview during rehearsal.
- Microphone — Required for audio recording and speech detection during rehearsals.
- Speech Recognition — Required to detect when you deliver your lines during rehearsal sessions.
- Photo Library (optional) — For importing scripts from photos or saving exported videos.
You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though doing so may limit the functionality of the Service.
7.5 Local Data Storage
Your projects, scripts, recordings, and rehearsal data are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This data is not automatically uploaded to our servers. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features:
- OpenAI — AI-powered script parsing, dialogue extraction, and voice generation for rehearsal partners. Script text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
- Firebase (Google) — Analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and remote configuration. Used to monitor app stability and improve the user experience.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — Subscription billing, payment processing, and app distribution.
- RoleCut API — Our proprietary backend service for voice generation job processing and audio file delivery.
These third-party services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:
- OpenAI Terms of Use
- Firebase Terms of Service
- Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement
- Google Play Terms of Service
We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services. AI-generated outputs (such as voice lines and script parsing) may not be perfectly accurate and should be used as aids, not definitive sources.
9. AI Services and Limitations
The Service uses artificial intelligence for several features, including script dialogue parsing, voice generation, and speech recognition. Please be aware of the following:
- AI outputs are generated by automated systems and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results.
- AI-generated voice lines are provided as rehearsal aids and may not perfectly replicate human performance nuances.
- Script parsing results depend on the quality and formatting of the input. Scanned PDFs and poorly formatted scripts may produce less accurate results.
- AI features require an internet connection and are subject to the availability and performance of third-party AI providers.
- We do not use your script content or recordings to train AI models.
10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
10.1 "As Is" Provision
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10.2 No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Protosoft and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
